Mix up your breakfast with these fruity, delicious and totally healthy yoghurt & fruit compotes. If you're like me and you often like to pair your yoghurt bowls with some fresh fruit, then you'll love this simple breakfast/snack idea.
Ingredients
Strawberry fruit compote
- Strawberries (248g, diced)
- Chia seeds (1 tbsp)
- Lemon (1, juice only)
Blueberry fruit compote
- Blueberries (248g)
- Stevia (1 tsp)
- Lemon (1, juice only)
Peach and nectarine fruit compote
- Peach (124g, diced)
- Nectarine (124g, diced)
- Lime (1, juice only)
Method
Pour the ingredients of your chosen fruit compote into a saucepan and bring to a simmer and leave for 10 minutes. Using a masher, mash the fruit until it turns into a sauce consistency. Pour your mixture into a jar and leave to cool. Once cool, seal the jar and pop in the fridge. These fruit compotes are best consumed within a few days for freshness.
To make yourself a tasty breakfast, simply add 2 tbsp of organic yoghurt to a jar/glass and top with 2-3 tbsp of compote. Add another layer of yoghurt. Grab a spoon and tuck in!
