Not for the faint hearted or those that aren't fans of English Mustard, homemade horseradish sauce is a great accompaniment to a Sunday Pork or Beef roast; but exclusively for those that like to bring a small tear to their eyes.
Ingredients
- Horseradish
- Full Fat Soft Cheese (100g)
- Apple Cider Vinegar (1 tbsp)
- Chives (5 or 6)
- Salt (1/4 tsp)
- Black Pepper (1/2 tsp)
Method
Use a vegetable peeler to remove the skin and then grate 5 or 6 heaped tablespoons. Chop 5 or 6 chives. Add all ingredients to a blender and blend for about a minute. If you want more spice, simply add more horseradish. If you want less, then add more cheese.
For a more traditional flavour swap out the soft cheese for a couple of tablespoons of mayo and sour cream.
