This is one of those dishes that when you first go low carb, you think you will never be able to enjoy again. Think again!! This wonderful Primal dish tastes as good if not better, than those heavily carb loaded restaurant superstars. I promise you that it is easy to create, tastes totally awesome and that nobody will ever know its extremely low carb.

Ingredients

  • Bacon (300g)
  • Mushroom (125g)
  • Garlic (4 cloves)
  • Red Onion
  • White Wine (1 glass)
  • Double Cream (300g)
  • Konjac Tagliatelle (540g)
  • Black Pepper (2 tsp)
  • Parmaesan (4 tbps grated)

Method

The key thing here is to make sure you buy konjac Tagliatelle which is made of konjac fibre and not carbohydrates.

The great news, is that this is also a one pot wonder. Very little washing up!!!

Dice and then fry the bacon and remove from pan before it browns, then fry the onion and garlic together for about 3 minutes ,then add in the mushroom to the pan. Fry for a further minute or two, then add a glass of white wine. I l use chardonnay only because that's what we normally have in the house. Now cook for about 5 minutes or until the wine reduces by about half.

Next add the double cream, bacon and konjac Tagliatelle. Cook for 3 to 4 minutes on medium heat and towards the end sprinkle on black pepper.

i like to serve with grated parmesan over the top.
